Spring Lake Campground

We rate this campground...Excellent. The owners, James and Danika are extremely personable, kind and down to earth. We felt like we've known them forever. The campground was very clean, the outhouses are the cleanest we've ever seen. Our favorite part was the outdoor shower, what a cool experience. The fellow campers were all pleasant and respectful of each other. We look forward to coming back again.

This Campground is as described by the owners, peaceful and quiet. The owners, Danika and James, are very friendly and accommodating. Danika assisted me backing into my site, as I had no one with me to yell at me while doing so🤣. No yelling or other adverse conditions were encountered while parking😃. This a nice, no frills, non-resort style campground. Nice gravel pads with fire rings and a grill on top. Looks like there could possibly be some good fishing right here from shore. I will not hesitate to return here, once I leave, 😁 especially with the very reasonable nightly rates.

I have returned and have had another peaceful stay. I'll be back again someday for sure.

This quiet little campground, was surely one of my favorites. The outdoor shower was so neat! The veggies in their garden, that they leave out for campers, were so good! The owners are very kind and accommodating. The campground is clean and well maintained. The firewood was well worth it for the price. The camp store is full of puzzles and games that both my son and I enjoyed! Although my son disliked there wasn't a playground, there are many parks and pools nearby! We very much enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway with the prettiest sunsets.

We had a wonderful camping experience here.

1. The host was excellent and very welcoming.
2. Our lake-view campsite was beautiful and made the stay even more special.
3. While there’s no power hookup, it was refreshing to disconnect from electronics.
4. The site has tall trees that provide great shade, making it very comfortable.
5. Perfect spot for fishing and kayaking.
6. There’s a small camp store where you can get essentials like fire logs and other supplies.
7. They also offer boat rentals and even cabins if you prefer more comfort.
8. The only minor downside is that it’s located near a rail track, so you may hear trains at night. Personally, I didn’t find it to be much of an issue.
9. The best thing was the outdoor shower.

Overall, it’s a peaceful and scenic spot—definitely worth visiting!

My daughter and I tent camped. We were close to fishing and the sites. We went to see the great Missippi River! Wonderful staff as well. Danika gave us suggestions for things to during our stay.
