We have always enjoyed our camping experiences at North Sandusky campground but this time we had an incident of a hitch for our boat being stolen out of our truck. We suspect the thief(s) were from the site next to us. We were in site #79 and they were in sites #80 or #81. They were walking back and forth to each other's sites, so we assumed they were camping there together.
We have never had any issues any of the other times we have camped at a COE campground. We love how spaced out the sites are and the peaceful atmosphere. We have always stayed at a full h/u site down woodduck loop but nothing was available. Lesson learned on being too trusting. We now will always have hitch locks.

This location is always clean, wish they had someone remove all the gimbals that cover the ground. I almost fell a few times. Also the bar that holds the TP on in some of the bathrooms is to big, the roll doesn’t spin so you have to rip chunks of tp off. The wild life was amazing, and lack of raccoons made the bust even more enjoyable.

VERY NICE CAMPGROUND. WELL MANICURED LAWN. RESTROOMS NOT SO MUCH (SMELL MUSTY/MOLD AND LOTS OF CREAPY CRAWLIES). THE SITE PAD SEEMED MORE NARROW THAN MOST CAMPGROUNDS BUT SITES ARE LARGER. WE HAD ELECTRIC/WATER HOOKUPS AND ENJOYED OUR STAY EVEN WITH OUR NEIGHBORS ALL NIGHT "FLASHING STROBE AWNING LIGHT SHOW" ...bless their heart.

So very glad to read that you are repaving some of the pads.
A level pad, removing the tire ruts from years of campers, will definitely improve the experience.
Absolutely gorgeous views of the lake in this loop.
Excellent friendly & helpful hosts

The camp grounds are always clean and neat. We enjoy North Sandusky very much. We normally camp during the weekdays and the camp sites are more sparsely occupied. It is quiet and relaxing.
