Everything went very well. Except for the weather! There was a cold snap and the temperature at night dropped to the 30's. In addition, although our campsite, Pintail #7, was nice, it seems that, no matter how early you book, the best (in my opinion) Pintail sites available - 11, 12, 13 - are never available for reservation. And, it seems like the same campers are seen at those sites throughout the camping season. Disheartening.

Campsite was ready and clean. Arrived late evening. Spent three days some of the kids caught their first fish there right from the shore of our loop. Can’t wait to return. Camp Hoat very friendly and helpful.

We had a great time at North Sandusky Campground on Rend Lake. The site was nice and big, not perfectly level but levelling wasn't a problem at all. Had access to the lake. Evenings were nice and quiet. Highly recommend this campground.
