I gave it 2 stars because we still had a good time outside of the camp site. We could not stay at the campsite during the day because we had no shade, making the tent super hot. The description on the webite said the area was shaded, (lot 40), and the pictures showed a nice, shady, grassy area. When we got there it was a dusty, hay covered area with no shade. We all were sun burned from packing up our tent: including our white dog (yes, apparently light colored dogs can get a sun burn). There was a distinct smell of sewer coming from somewhere, not sure if it was a camper or where it hailed from but it was intrusive. The water spicket had no rocks or anything to catch any access water and, of course, the kids walked through it. We had to put logs down to catch the water and help prevent mud when we would get water. I wish i could say better.

Really beautiful spot with shade. The only thing not great was the bathroom smell, which would waft over to the campsites. They're flush toilets but stank like vault toilets. But they were relatively clean.

We always camp at north sandusky pintail . You planted trees in lake right where everyone is putting their boat. Not good idea.

Great campground, clean and well maintained. Very quiet and our spot shady.
One suggestion: extra pad next to main slot for extra vehicle.

Site 52 in North Sandusky is a really nice level,site that is all paved and spacious. The only thing to keep in mind with this site is the lift station directly behind it. I don't think it was working properly when we were there and the smell especially in the evening was quite bad. Hopefully the issue is resolved quickly.

From I-57 take exit 77 and turn west on Route 154. After 4.5 miles turn south onto Rend City Road. Continue through the four-way stop and follow signs to the campground.

General
- All campers MUST register/ check-in with gate attendant upon arrival to receive site and vehicle tags.
- Camping equipment is required to be placed on the campsite; one camper with a maximum of three tents OR four tents per site are permitted. Sites may NOT be reserved for parking of vehicles.
