Excellent campground. Best in the area. We go there 10 - 12 times a year.
Would love if there is WIFI available. Would pay extra.

I have always enjoyed South Sandusky campgrounds since I was a kid. Mainly in campers, but this time in a tent. I wanted a shoreline campground but they were already booked when I made plans. We were lucky to get T-3, especially during the storm that rolled through on Saturday the 19th of September. They had been calling for nasty weather but we were ok with it. Some campers with small kids packed up and went home, which was a great idea. It had been raining for awhile but nothing serious. Then around 3am, a thunderstorm rolled through with all the bells and whistles! Loud thunder, lightning flashes, strong winds! Far about an hour it was a bit intense, and then, laughable. The honeysuckle that surrounded our tent made a big difference on weakening the strength of the wind coming off of the lake. I’m glad we didn’t get the shoreline spot this time, Mother Nature kept us safe in the woods! Awesome Time!

Super beautiful like always! Wish there would have been a shower house in my circle but no biggie. We had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!!

We LOVE the bike trails. We also love all the wildlife, such as deer, turkeys and this year a first armadillos. We had two armadillos visit our campsite two nights in a row.
