South Sandusky, Pine Tree area is our favorite camping spot. The weather could have been better, but that wasn't bad either and out of the campsite control. We have been camping at Rend Lake for 42 years. It is clean and beautiful. The visitor's center is a must. Just south of the visitor's center is Black Dog storage and camper's savior with many items to purchase.

The site was very nice, the pine trees were wonderful. Funny, I’m getting older, was called by ranger stating my motorhome was still on site. I said yes mam…, I have it till the 4th. She said, “ sir.., today is the 4th”. Looked at my phone and said…, “uh, yes it is…, I’m so sorry”. She very kindly said the site was available for the next day if I’d like to reserve it for another day. So I did and she told the camp host and all was well.
I have no complaints wit any Rend Lake reservations we have made and camped at.
