We were in pine tree loop, very nice, we love the full hookups! The entrance into south Sandusky had mud and some rocks to have to drive through because of wrong water drainage coming out into road! I really feel sorry for the 2 camp host parking spots with a large hole in the middle of the road, and when it rains the whole road is standing in water, which has been there for the past 2 or 3 years. The drainage needs to be fixed and holes filled, can't be that hard!!

I really enjoy Rend Lake and had previously stayed at North Sandusky Campground. Beautiful area, great lake, and great paved bike trail. Benton is pretty close with some great eating spots and there's also a convenient Wally World for things you forgot to pack. So why only two stars? We arrived shortly after 6 PM and no one was at the check-in booth. The next morning we walked down to check in, and it was too early and so no one was in yet. The restrooms were pretty clean but no soap dispensers. Prior to leaving I attempted to dump my tanks. Dumped the black first which fortunately was pretty empty because when attempting to dump the gray I heard the water stop flowing and could see in the clear elbow it was in fact not flowing. Closed the valve and when I removed my hose all the water in it dumped all over the ground. The water in the septic was all the way to the top of the pipe. Fortunately I had removed the water hose first. So I had to pack up the stinky slinky and stop at the waste station on the way out. Since it was right next to the check-in booth we went over to let them know about the septic at the site, but no one was there and it was shortly after 3 PM. We called the phone number listed and had to leave a message since no one answered (no one has returned the call either). The site I had last year at North Sandusky I couldn't dump until after hitching up and pulling forward since the dump was uphill from my trailer! Since none of the sites closest to the water are full hook ups I'm thinking next time I will just get an electric site.
