Rude at gate. Somehow I got forced to pay again because they said I checked out even though I did not... but I got my refund. Luckily I had the funds. That was b.s. Other than that had a weird but awesome time...

Clean, organized camp. Several big sticks on the ground but that was due to a recent storm.
Many of the sites are difficult for my groups access. We use horse trailers but I imagine the big campers have similar issues.

Only drawback was the lack of places to get rid of your trash

South Sandusky was a very nice campground and the staff both at the front gate and visitors center were extremely helpful. The sites were large and well spaced out. Highly recommend and would for sure stay there again.

My family and I stayed here for the July 4th weekend. Our first time here and we will definitely be back. We drove 2 1/2 hrs and it was well worth it. I love the grouping of campsites. Made our campsite so easy to find. Very good signage all around Rend lake. Everything was nice and clean. The park staff were so pleasant and informative. The cost of the sites are very reasonable
There was a very nice beach close by. The visitors center had activities that appealed to all ages. There are a few nice restaurants close by as well as custard and ice cream shops. DG’s also, in case you need anything last minute.
I’m from Indiana and we commented that our State parks need to take some major notes.
