We always have a good time at Bow Woods. Staff is excellent. We had an unfortunate accident when we drove off without putting up the awning. Yep, did that. A staff member assisted us to get the awning stowed so we could drive the camper back. Without him and his excellent ideas this would have ended in disaster. They go the extra mile to make your camping experience great...

Great location, excellent views from the site #25.
Large main bathrooms need severe updates and windows for ventilation.
Overall, we will be back to camp at BO-Woods

We were not aware of the new rule that ALL sites had to be reserved. Setup on a site n had to move to site we had reserved. The handicap site we reserved has no shade- total sun. Also restrooms aren’t cleaned very well.

Unfortunately, the campground was a disappointment. I was expecting it to be similar to Lone Point SRA, with abundant amount of space and shade. What we experienced was a parking lot. Sites were cramped and the campground was completely full. Bugs were out of control. . Also, we had to leave a day early due to loss of power/low voltage at site #73. It stopped powering our AC. The Park Ranger responded promptly and did his best to attempt to fix the outlets without success. If you are coming to Lake Shelbyville, I strongly recommend Lone Point RA.
On a positive note, the gate attendant lady and the park ranger were very nice and professional.
