What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

Park and resrooms/showers were clear and well kept. Too many dogs barking all the time, we left two days early because of the constant barking.

The Causeway is a clean campground along with clean restrooms and pit toilets. The park has cement slabs to place your camper in a spacious site and water hookup. We enjoy fishing ,kayaking, hiking and biking. After a day of activity, our favorite is part of the day is watching the gorgeous sunsets over the Mississippi River.

Spent several days enjoying the autumn season at this this beautiful campground. We enjoy walking the Great River Road Trail with our dog. The trail is very access from the road by the gate. We have camped at the PMAN section and the RIVER section. We enjoyed both. The staff and volunteers are very friendly. Highly recommend camping at Thompson Causeway.
