What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

Great location. Many sites back up to the Mississippi River. Camper’s only boat ramp is nice. Most sites are concrete pads. Bathrooms clean. It can be windy off the river which is 3 miles wide at this location.

We were there Monday through Thursday, October 5-8 and really enjoyed our site # HP118 with nice cement parking spot, water and electric hookups. We were facing the river and close to the forest edge. The birds were chirping, nesting and flying around in the tree. We could hear fish jump out of the water about every 20 minutes. Sunsets were beautiful and colorful. We walked on island trails and rode our bikes from there to Fulton. It was a great visit.
