We came to visit the trolls in Clinton and ended up enjoying the river and bicycle trail! This is a great campground, clean restrooms, level sites and beautiful Mississippi sunsets.

Being out on the point by the river is the nicest place to stay.
The sunsets are beautiful, one of the most scenic stays in Illinois.

We were so impressed with the new concrete pads and level sites. The water spigots were at every 3 sites and so convenient. Clean bathrooms, big sites, great view of the Mississippi river and the wonderful sunsets

Been coming here for years and always enjoyed it. In the last couple years they have added LIGHTS at every campsite, a Bright light at a parking area next to our campsite. It was so BRIGHT you didn't need lights in your camper to get around, even with all the shades pulled. We went there to look at the river, and look at the stars! when they turned on the lights, THEY TURNED OFF THE STARS No Thanks WE WONT BE BACK

We always love to camp there. nice cemented sites; we need a little leveling. Fire ring and enough room to put up our screen tent. Good shade trees. Nice restroom and shower facility. Easy to get to dumpster on the way out. Dump station has 3 bays. Good fishing spots. View of The Big River. Quiet, no rowdys. We make friends every time. Halloween weekend is GREAT! Getting reservations online is easy once I got familiar with the system. Park Rangers are very polite. The new guy at the pay booth Lacks Customer Service skills...Seriously!!

It was relaxed and quiet, the area was clean and well kept. Everyone was friendly and respectful of each other. The view from just about everywhere was wonderful.

Nice paved site, water/electric only at site, but nice dump station on way out. Shower house was a little bit of a walk but has good water pressure & hot water. Easy access to Clinton IA to visit the Dambo Trolls. With senior pass 3 nights were less expensive than one night in most other campgrounds.

General
- New check-out/set up times this year: Campsites available to set up on at 2 pm, you may set up earlier than 2 pm if the campsite is vacant
- All campers must check-in on the day of arrival during fee booth hours.
- Fee booth hours are: Monday - Wednesday - Thursday - Sunday - Mondays of holiday weekends
- Campsites 33, 79-97, and 127-131 do not have water available at each campsite. You are able to fill up your holding tank at the dump station or from a water faucet. Campers must unhook from water faucet when done filling holding tank.
- Please make sure to empty or flush your water and waste tanks at the designated dump station drains only. Emptying tanks, including freshwater tanks, on roadways, parking lots, campsites or other areas in the park is prohibited. Also, dumping or emptying water or waste tanks, including freshwater tanks, on state, county or city roads is illegal per state statutes. Thank you for your cooperation.
- Campers using a discount card are required to verify their discount card number during check-in by providing the discount pass and a photo ID.
- Only one RV and two tents will be allowed on RV sites. The only exception is if there is no RV on site, in which case you may have three tents.

- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Firewood can be purchased in the campground during the hours of 5 pm to 8 pm nightly for $6 per bundle from the on-site firewood shed. Use the QR code at the firewood shed to pay for firewood using a credit card. No cash or checks are accepted for firewood sales.
