We chose site 48 online because it was waterfront and looked like a great location. When we arrived, we found that it provided wonderful views of the lake, but the site was sloped and would have required quite a bit of leveling for our truck camper. However, there was a ranger nearby, who told us we could switch to site 50, which was available. The views weren't quite as spectacular, but we enjoyed a glorious sunset, and the next morning, we took a very short walk through the woods next to us, to a nice beach. This campground is clean, well kept and provides beautiful views of Rend Lake. Next time we'll stay longer so we can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and see more of the lake.

This is a beautiful park - our sight 84 lakeside was perfect and is a wonderful place to camp. Lots of bicycle riding available in the area! I would highly recommend this campground!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Gun Creek Campground. I took my 8 & 4 year old grandkids there September 15-17 for their 1st ever camping trip. They absolutely loved the experience!! The entire campground was clean and mowed, the restrooms and shower house was clean and it was quiet at night. We will be going back in May, watching the calendar to open so I can book next year!!

Unusual check-in/check-out times. Had to chase down lady for tag to go on pole and never caught her. Park ranger had to bring to us after we had already set up. He seemed a little upset with us. Showers were great, lot was great, and view was amazing!! Very clean!

Site 84 is the perfect waterfront location. But keep in mind that it is at an incline. And when you look at the map it looks like it’s not right next to the other sites but in reality site 83 is directly next to it. But the location makes it worth it.

The host greeted us when we came in . It was after dark and was told where our camp site was at and we went to the site and was starting to back i and he came down with a flash light and helped us get backed in a d set up. That was very nice and we loved our site and the camp ground. We will be back again!

Warning for 5th wheels, class A’s and longer campers. This site is a nightmare. I wish I’d seen the reviews before I had it booked and paid for. The site is so steep that when the camper went onto it, it skinned the back of the top of our truck gate. On the drivers side we had to tuck the camper in within 6” of the back in order to have the awning on the other side miss the other tree. The awning could only extend half way. And once we were in we weren’t able to level it because the front was as low as it would go and the back as high as it would go. Still not level. When lowering the steps only 1 leg was on the ground while the other leg had to have blocks. This site is a real ankle turner. Absolutely would not recommend this site.
BUT.. on a good note the bathrooms were immaculate. Probably the cleanest campground bathrooms I've ever seen. I hope this helps you not scratch up your truck. We had no idea until we were somewhat backed in.

The lot we booked was shady, fairly level, had paved areas for our vehicles. Very nice, plan to book the same spot again.
