What Guests Are Saying
Prices in the area have increased significantly, and window AC units are no longer allowed in cabins, which can be uncomfortable during high heat and humidity. Despite some issues with cell service and ventilation in the bathrooms, visitors noted the friendly rangers and helpful camp host. The pavilion's refrigerator and nearby stores for forgotten items were appreciated amenities.

Price for this area has went way up in a couple years. Now you cannot put window AC units in the cabins. It was around 95-98 degrees during our visit with very high humidity. Verizon cell phone signal is very poor and seems to only work in the mornings. Rangers were very friendly. Get tired of paying a high price for a private area that uninvited people drive though or ride through. It is nice that the pavilion has a refrigerator. Shower/bathroom is not ventilated very good and is very hot. Be nice if it at a mini split heating and cooling system. Same for the cabins. Camp host came around daily to check on if we needed anything or had any problems. Stores are located not far away if forget to take something.

Water faucet, cabin door handle, and window were broke, when we arrived. Four days later they fixed the faucet. They told us someone would fix the other two, and no one did. The only other problem is the cabins had a lot of spiders.

3 of the 30 amp breakers kept tripping. Other than the one issue very nice facility, fun for the kids on the beach.

The location is great but the breakers need to be replaced. Had minimal things running and kept throwing breakers. They are loose and need to be replaced and it would be an amazing place to stay. One of our guests didn’t realize his breaker tripped and his camper was hot hot hot when we came in that afternoon.

Wonderful setting and peaceful location. Near enough to town if you need something, but far enough that you can enjoy the sounds of nature.

It was very relaxing knowing we didn’t have to worry about strangers nearby. Our kids ran all over and really got to enjoy the outdoors. We would definitely love to return.

Had to deal with several people coming and going to the private beach despite the signs. The place was messy when we arrived, there was clothes inside the pavillon and sidewalk chalk drawings all over the floor.

Everything was great except, they have no signs to tell people that it is private. We had people constantly walking up to our site, boaters parking on the private beach. We even had one guy use our private bathroom. Other than repeatedly asking people to please leave, it was great. They told me they were going to fix the problem.
Everyone had a great time, even the kids and teenagers. Bring your bikes the paths (at the campsite) were fun for the kids to ride on. There is so much to do at the campsite, that you will not need or want to leave. We plan on going again. If there are no signs, we will bring our own.
