Campground was as shown in photos and staff was very friendly and helpful in showing us where our site was. Everyone camping was respectful. We had a great time!

Excellent walk in tent sites; great bicycle trails. Just don’t do what I did- tent camp on the water and forgot my bug spray!

Covey point is hilly and the sites are uneven. Had a hard time getting our camper level. Also, the sites are far apart if you are camping with a group, it’s not ideal. Lastly, the dirt was so thick under our tables and on the concrete, our leaf blower wouldn’t even clear it all off. I don’t think they were cleaned out all summer! Very disappointed.

We had a great time camping. The park was nice as usual.
The only problem was that tree roots were exposed in the area between the table and the parking pad. this could be a problem for someone to trip a nd land in the firepit. We were on site 115.

Getting There
From I-57 take exit 71 and turn west onto Highway 14. After 3 mi turn right on Rend City Road, then right on Rend Lake Dam Rd. Continue 3 mi to the park entrance on the left.
Highway access
South Marcum Campground is accessible from I-57 via exit 71, then west on Highway 14. The campground is located approximately 3 miles from the highway exit.
Policies & Rules
General
- All campers MUST register/ check-in with gate attendant upon arrival to receive site and vehicle tags.
- Camping equipment is required to be placed on the campsite; one camper with a maximum of three tents OR a maximum of four tents per site are permitted. Sites may NOT be reserved for parking of vehicles.
