Quite, clean easy in easy out good clean shower house

Good trip and area to camp, plus the shower houses were clean. The bad is we pulled off countless ticks and I gotten poison ivy even after being very cautious.

Site #126 is bad. The pad is tolerable but the area between the pad and picnic table is nothing but a down hill heavily rooted dirt area and when you get even a slight rain becomes a total mud pit. It needs about 3" of 2" minus rock dumped in the area to cover all of the tripping roots and build up the area so it isn't as much of a down hill drainage ditch.

Very clean! Our camping site had a beautiful view of the water. Bathhouses were very accessible and accommodating! Paved roads and paths were awesome. Every camper we came across were more than eager to help us on our first time there. Hookups were perfect.

Loved it was beautiful spacious, quiet, and lots to do with the Lake access the beaches in the bike trails. The price was amazing $26 for full hook up. Wow that is just awesome.

South Marcum is very good camping. Thank You. They only need to have a sandy beach on South Marcum it's too far to North Marcum or South Sandusky on bicycles.

Getting There
From I-57 take exit 71 and turn west onto Highway 14. After 3 mi turn right on Rend City Road, then right on Rend Lake Dam Rd. Continue 3 mi to the park entrance on the left.
Highway access
South Marcum Campground is accessible from I-57 via exit 71, then west on Highway 14. The campground is located approximately 3 miles from the highway exit.
Policies & Rules
General
- All campers MUST register/ check-in with gate attendant upon arrival to receive site and vehicle tags.
- Camping equipment is required to be placed on the campsite; one camper with a maximum of three tents OR a maximum of four tents per site are permitted. Sites may NOT be reserved for parking of vehicles.
