What Guests Are Saying
Wolfe's Leisure Time Campground has undergone significant changes under new ownership, with the closure of key amenities like the pool and camp store, and a shift to monthly camping only. Despite some negative feedback regarding increased prices and the loss of seasonal camping, many guests appreciate the campground's cleanliness, good location, and friendly atmosphere. Overall, visitors enjoy a welcoming experience, with a few minor inconveniences noted during their stays.

Any reviews from before 2026 need to be deleted and not considered when trying to camp here. The old owners sold out to the new owners and absolutely nothing is the same. The pool is shut down. The camp store is shut down. The propane is shut down. No more nightly camping. No more weekend camping. No more seasonal camping. Just strictly monthly. I’m sure there’s a lot I’m missing but that’s some of them. Wait for a year or so and they might be begging for seasonal campers to come back. Good luck to them

The new ownership has effectively run off all the seasonal families that had year round spots here. Prices raised by $600/year for fewer amenities. They closed the swimming pool and the camp store effective immediately. They are using fake photos now on the website. A quick drive by will show you that looks nothing like Wolf's. You would think that they would want to build good relationships with the campers who have been there long term and WANT to keep enjoying it, but it seems they are more focused on money. Very sad to lose this place to them :(

This campground is pretty reasonable and maintained pretty well. Also great location as it’s 15 min drive from main Lafayette where I worked as travel nurse. Mary and her husband work very hard to keep it going. The only issues we had while staying were that the water pressure was a bit low. They had us in spot 1 and that was great bc it was nice to be so close to the bathrooms and laundry room and entrance. The weekends would get a bit busy and sometimes loud bc lots of people wanted to party and enjoy their time but we didn’t really mind it. Overall a great stay and would stay again. I really like that they were willing to prorate for the month also.

Great little camp ground, only complaints is getting woke up by another camper that had to be the dreaded leaf blower man on Sat. morning and the golf carts parading by your camp site at night with there LED lights shining in your eyes. Over all a very nice quiet experience with clean areas and welcoming folks. PSA...make sure if you go in the fall to be aware of falling walnuts there are alot of walnut trees in some camp spots and yes they hurt when hit with one. Our Rottweiler-border collie mix 🐕 loved talking to the squirrels and they could have been possibly throwing walnuts at us lol. We will definitely be back.

We have an annual visitor pass to visit family while they camp at their yearly spot. Great people all around, clean, and safe. You feel you're away without being 100 miles from home. Access to the river if you have a boat too.
