Lovely campground with lots of trees. Showers are quite bug infested and have roaches.

Instantly my favorite place to camp.
I camp during the week and it was very quiet. Campsites are surrounded by forest. Camp hosts are very friendly. Will definitely return.

Cleanest Bathrooms around, easy check-in, quiet and peaceful (was camping Sunday-Thurs) Trails? nice , but not much of them, with all the forest around they could do better. if you have a boat for daily launch then fishing could be ok, but without a boat, limited area. probably not popular with the kids, only one play area and it was closed, But hey more peaceful because of that. nice wooded park with lots of shade. some spots not as big as others but most places are like that. overall we had a nice 4 days.

Hardin Ridge offers the most amazing camping experience in a national forest if your goal is to enjoy nature, quiet and plenty of space between sites. Most of the sites are atypical for a “campground”. Frequently you can’t see your neighbors, rarely hear them and the wildlife is abundant. Couple these attributes with the seasoned and long term hosts and managers leaves no doubt it will remain at the top of the repeat locations.
