This was a beautiful campground and the staff I interacted with were extremely kind and helpful, even when we had some travel problems and needed to check in very late at night.

Very secluded from everything, awesome campsite.
Showers, flushing toilets, and electric. Would stay here again if in the area.

Our site was heavily wooded and very nice size. There was a bathhouse across from our site that was nice condition but obviously hadn’t been cleaned or restocked in some time and the showers were full of spiders. The beach was closed and gated off so we made the drive to Paynetown for some beach time. Other than the bathhouse the rest of the park looked clean. This is a boaters campground with a launch ramp and plenty of room to park your boat on your site. If you don’t have a boat there’s not much to do especially with the beach closed

We came to Hardin Ridge for this 11-day camp for peace, the opportunity to devote time to creative pursuits, and to enjoy the silence of the woods. It was wonderful! We spent most days doing exactly as we'd planned, with just two outings to add sparkle. We had lunch at The Scenic View Restaurant one day, and we spend one morning visiting Leonard Springs Nature Park in Bloomington. Altogether, it was a restful, yet productive, time. We loved every minute and are eager to return soon!

It was unfortunate that the beach was closed due to, I assume, the terrible rains that had occurred a week or so prior. Nonetheless, this is a lovely park. There are a few trails, not as many as some parks, but nice all the same. Be aware that many of the fire rings are three times the height of "normal" ones so you can't actually see the fire when you're doing the "campfire thing". Totally ruined that traditional camping ritual. I liked that most of the campers had boats and were out on the lake all day. It made for a very quiet and peaceful campground! The staff were lovely and very helpful.

I have always LOVED Hardin Ridge. It’s so peaceful, secluded, and you have privacy. I’ve always hated campgrounds that feel like you’re camping on top of other people and having other people walk through your campsite but that’s not an issue here. The bathrooms are the cleanest out of every campground I’ve ever been to and staff is always super friendly and welcoming! This is the only place I come to camp!
