Camp Timber Lake

This place has done nothing but bring smiles to my face and make my trips their memorable. The staff are always out and about to help everyone, the sites are super clean the fishing is incredible the fire pits nice the wood is good the prices are perfect for anyone looking to enjoy their camping trip without burning alot of money. The store has so many things available for your camping trip needs, swimming area is great, the zip lines are incredibly awesome. The bathrooms and trash is always picked up and this place flat out deserves 5 stars from me. We love this place very family friendly and pet friendly. Great place to go camping.

Took me forever to write this review but I'm finally getting to it. Visited for the weekend the rooms could of been a little cleaner sweeping wise but besides that it was great. The water was nice, customer service when getting a cabin n such was very easy and friendly. It was quiet on our stay n the kids had a good time swimming. Can't wait to go back this year , and hopefully we cleaned up behind ourselves accordingly. Thank you for the great cabins and the wonderful time we had at your campground.

Best "long term" campground we've stayed at! Nice and quiet. Well priced and the campground is kept up nicely. Great playground by the fishing lake for kids too! Met and exceeded our expectations.

Cabins and campsites with full hook ups, electric only and primitive camp sites. Beautiful place with fantastic staff!! All sorts of camping accomodations for one night or more. Prices are great per night or for longer stays. They even have golf carts you can rent! They have a Zipline course that goes throughout the campsite and over the lake. Boat rentals to fish, a beach to swim in or lounge on the clean white sand and bathrooms with separate shower rooms. There are trails to walk through the woods and a playground for the littles. This is a great place with something for everyone. It's quiet here too, people respect the rules and that's nice. It's cozy and comfortable, I highly recommend.

I arrived at this campground with low expectations based on the pictures and previous reviews, and unfortunately, it didn't disappoint - it was even worse than I anticipated. On Sunday afternoon, after 3 pm, there was no one at the office, and the after-hours instructions were unclear. We had to call the listed numbers and wait about 30 minutes for someone to arrive and check us in.

The campsites themselves were mostly sun-exposed, and the prevalence of full-time RV residents meant that the area could be quite loud. On the plus side, the campground did offer full hookups.

However, the lake in the center of the campground had a strong, unpleasant odor, which seemed to affect the nearby campsites. The three showers available to all campers were not divided by gender and were not well-maintained. The women's bathroom lacked a door, while the men's bathroom appeared to be in better condition. The dumpster was consistently full and smelled terrible, and there were numerous old motorhomes parked throughout the property.

On the bright side, the campground's proximity to Huntington made it convenient for grocery shopping and dining. Overall, I would caution potential visitors to be aware of the campground's limitations and potential drawbacks.
