Me and my wife lived at away a day because we were young, and starting out our lives. We needed a place to live and honestly the space and campground are pretty nice. We had a camper of our own put there. It was one of the hardest times of our lives. I had to find a job, and I had just moved to brown county. The rent for a space for our camper and water hook up, sewer, and an extremely small yard was $850 per month living! That was kind of expensive, but inflation has arrived. The owners on the other hand or specifically Karen Snodgrass, from the time we got there gave us some type of attitude for absolutely no reason. I don’t know if it’s because I’m Puerto rican or what. She told us how we can and can’t have our campers decorated, and that we had to buy specific colored totes to match all the other neighbors that went underneath our campers. We can’t have crosses or anything religious outside on the property we paid for monthly. At the end of our stay. We told her we’re buying a house and that we only have until a specific day to move out. We talked to Karen about it. She said it was fine, and that after we paid a certain amount we owed, we were paid up until the day we had to leave. While that’s going on me and my wife are figuring out how to move into, and buy our new, and first home which was all confusing and expensive. Karen text us a few days later after we paid what we she said we owed her left. And she said we owe her more money on top of what we owe her. Hundreds more. This was a few days after she told us we were paid off until we move into the new home. So basically we were done paying rent then we weren’t. When I argued and told her I can’t pay that right now. She threatened to take me to court even though I completely, and should have taken her, but me and my wife are in our twenties and have no experience with taking someone to court. Considering she told me unprofessionally, that we were paid up to the day we had to leave. Then adds money for on top of that we supposedly owed in the past. When I first moved there Karen offered me a job and asked if I could help mow for some money and I’d pay less rent per month. I brought my wife in to the place I was talking to her at. At the front of the campground, where they handle the pay for rent and business. Karen rudely asks why I brought my wife even though she was on the lease and we were also paying our rent off at the same time. (My wife was handling that) then she tells me that she found someone else for the job. I WOULD NOT spend my money at someplace that treats certain people like this. If you are not in Karen’s drinking buddy high school like click, and you don’t kiss her behind, her name really stands out. Don’t go to away a day everyone. Please there are much nicer places where people treat you better in the area. Don’t support a place that treats people badly.

Great owners and campground. It’s about 15 mikes west off I65 and t mikes to Nashville. It’s our second time here. Sites are mostly back it, FHU and nice size. Pretty level gravel sites.
There is a beautiful pool, but we come in November.
Owners are nice and Kerl is informed is weather is bad or freezing.
Check them out.

We camped overnite was a very pleasant experience! The owner returned my call quickly to confirm we could stay past check out time, she expressed they wanted us to enjoy our stay with them and hoped we would return.
P.s. we plan on returning and camping here frequently Next year, the “hook up /set up “ for our camper was very convenient and area was very pleasant , quiet yet friendly people. camp site 116 with beautiful view and is now our favorite !

Can't say enough about Tim the owner who jumped in to help us with what could have been an expensive situation with our hitch.

We initially had some reservations about how close this park was to the road and road noise. We had a site that backed up to the trees and we could hear the road but it was just white noise so not an issue for us. Our site was huge with lots of room behind the RV.

Overall the park is lovely, bathrooms were clean. You can tell the owners care. The decorations are super cute and it's really close to Nashville for shopping and hiking at Brown County State Park.

We stayed for a weekend but wish we would have been here in a few weeks for all the leaves changing!
