Walnut Ridge Campground

This is a good place if you want to buy an rv and just park it here to stay and you come spend the summer. It has very uneven, absolutely not level spots. Come with everything you need cause there isn’t a store. The restrooms are ok. They are remodeled but they used rough wood ( very rough wood). You can not touch or bump against or let you cloths touch it or you will get slivers or poked by the wood. Or both. The people are nice. Maybe a2.5 to a 3 max.need fixed up. The pool is nice if that’s what you are looking for and it has a cute little playground. Nice trees. We wanted full hookups and for the price we paid for one night we thought that’s what we would get. But it wasn’t. We are on a long trip and so far it has been the most expensive one we have stayed at with the least amount of amenities. It is nice and quiet though.

I did not know there was no sewer hook up. For $50 a night, that is outrageous. We’re full time on the road and I have never paid that much for just water and electric. The ground is uneven, but the guy who helped me was cool. He took me right to our spot. We’re only here to buy a new Brinkley, and then we are gone. Do not recommend if you don’t have to.

Our first and last time to visit. We were using our complimentary 2 nights for purchasing our trailer. Many of the sites appear to be long term guests. The camper behind us blasted music over speakers and had neon blue flashing lighting. The music and lights well past 11pm which supposedly was when quiet hours began. Some of the music had explicit language. It did not make for an enjoyable evening by the campfire. There was no one enforcing quiet hours or to report it to.

Internet sketchy at best. Would not stay connected even tho’ we were given 3 separate logins from the “camp store”. I use that term loosely as it was not well stocked.

The bathrooms were actually locked Sunday morning. Why? This took several campers by surprise.

Update: We surprisingly did receive a callback from the message I left on the voicemail Saturday evening regarding the loud music. They indicated this campsite was a known nuisance as they’d had complaints before. They are going to get a “stern talking to”. Oh that’s great. 😏Completely resolved my bad experience >(that’s sarcasm) 😒

Very friendly Campground and well-maintained..... Colten who manages the front desk was very friendly and provided excellent customer service!!!

We had lots of issues with our camper and finally talked to the manager. Now we have the information and know how to get our issues fixed. Will update on how it goes.
