Me and my family stayed here for 3 months. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond our park expectations. Follow up on any issues we had in the same day. I would highly recommend and me and my family have it saved and will be back. Thanks Beyonder!

We want to thank The Beyonder staff for being so accommodating, friendly and helpful to our group this past weekend. We had a total of 12 Campsites for our annual Friendsgiving trip. Everything was amazing! We had the perfect space for everyone to hang out, enjoy the time together and feast on a delicious meal. We are looking forward to continuing our tradition at Beyonder for many years to come. Thank you for everything!

THE BEST PLACE TO CAMP HANDS DOWN!! So many wonderful family things that happen there every weekend. The staff is so kind, accommodating and helpful. The bathrooms and pool are clean!

Beyonder Getaway Rising Sun – Scenic, Pet-Friendly, and Full of Heart

We stayed at site 159 in the lower level of the campground, and it was absolutely lovely. Our site had a peaceful view of the Ohio River, a spacious stone patio, and built-in dog kennels that made traveling with our pup so much easier. While we didn’t use the dog run, it was great to see that option available for guests with more energetic dogs.

The campground is thoughtfully laid out across two levels. The upper level is where you’ll find the pool, playground, pavilion, camp store, and check-in—all easy to access and well-maintained. The oversized pool was a highlight for us: clean, relaxing, and surprisingly serene. There’s even a cute little ice cream and food shack tucked right inside the pool area, which added a fun, resort-like touch.

One of my favorite amenities was the firewood delivery service. With just a quick call, they’ll bring bundles right to your site—available in sets of 6, 10, or 20 pieces. It’s such a simple thing, but it made our evenings by the fire feel extra cozy and convenient.

Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly—passing with smiles and waves that made the whole experience feel welcoming and warm. Wi-Fi and cell service were reliable, and while a few bathrooms could use updating and the laundry rooms were closed during our visit, those were minor details in an otherwise wonderful stay.

If you’re looking for a peaceful riverside escape with pet-friendly perks, thoughtful amenities, and a truly kind community, Beyonder Getaway Rising Sun is a gem. We’ll definitely be back—and our dog will be too!

As someone who was born here, and who spends a lot of my free time on the river bank, I wasn't thrilled when they built this. But this place is nice! Everyone is friendly, camp store is nice and well stocked. The rates are affordable. The kids love the playground and the pool is a really nice respite from the heat. The campers along the river are absolutely the best, especially the couple in 128 who helped the wife and I out with a place to park. Take the kids fishing along the river, and while your at it keep them lids peeled for native American artifacts. And as always pack it in, then pack it out. Please do your part to keep our land and river clean for the next generations to cone
