What Guests Are Saying
Hawthorn Park offers a beautiful, peaceful camping experience with spacious sites for various campers, including primitive tent options. Its proximity to town combined with a country feel, scenic trails, and a serene lake enhance the overall enjoyment. The only minor complaint is the narrow toilet paper, but overall, visitors appreciate the tranquility and natural beauty.

We camp out there quite often. Close to town but still has a country feel. Usually pretty quiet. Bathhouse isnt to bad and fairly big camp sites. They have sites for about any camper, or RV along with primitive tent camping. Nice lake and some hiking trails. Only complaint, they have very narrow toilet paper. Like a CVS receipt. It is 2 ply but so narrow. SMH....

Hawthorn Park is one of our favorite places to camp. The scenery is beautiful and it's a very peaceful place! No swimming or motorized boats on the lake, which makes the peacefulness even more profound! 馃挋鉂わ笍馃槍馃檹馃馃晩馃珎馃馃暞馃寛馃憤

Without doubt the best park in Terre Haute, with nice lake, greens, campgrounds and shelters. Just behind of Rose Hulman, this is a nice place to roam around in the trail. Recommended for a nice time near water.
