We love the lake, we love the campsites and the fishing is excellent.The rangers are very helpful. But, the lake was filled with blue-green algae which greatly aggravated my allergies, not to mention was gross to boat and fish in. We weren't really sure the fish were safe to eat. We read the information sign at check-in which said they are safe but when it also says not to let your pets drink the water and to wash off after touching the water, it makes one hesitate. I'm not sure we can go back to camp there if the lake is in that condition again.
Having said that, the guys absolutely loved the fish cleaning stations. Also, the grounds and bathrooms around the lake are clean.
We ate at the restaurant across from Bridgeview both times. It was also handy to buy bait and snacks.
The fish hatchery was an interesting point of interest.

Need to clean up huge piles of leaves could cause a huge disaster. Camp fire would catch on leaves and burn down campers
