What Guests Are Saying
The campground received criticism for unclean bathrooms, which were not maintained over the weekend and lacked toilet paper. Additionally, staff were unhelpful regarding tubing information, and renting tubes was frustrating due to maintenance issues. Overall, these factors detracted from the experience.

So we gave this another chance the bathrooms were horrible not cleaned once for the weekend no toliet paper and was very nasty. Saturday asked for information for tubing all new people no one knew nothing. Rented a few extra tubes had to make 3 trips back to office as maintenance never opened tube door was very frustrating.

Okay, I haven’t used the RV park. We’ve gone here many times with our children to play on the little beach and in the water park area. There are tables with umbrellas nearby. We bring our own picnic and toys. From what I’ve seen , the visitors (and probably staff, too) keep the area nice and clean. You can’t swim in the pond, but there’s a canoe/inner tube rental place within walking distance in the Turkey River. It’s also close to a nice picnic spot, also within walking distance. Depending on the season, rock hounds will be happy pretty much all along the river. My grandson found the skeletonized head and upper body of a hawk or falcon there. The entire area is great for fossils. There’s also a lot of agate and jasper. Further, Iowa is the Geode State; there are less here than near Keokuk, but you might get lucky

I absolutely love this campgrpund. I travel for work, so I have been staying here for a while already, and this campground makes me want to move this way permanently just to utilize it!
They have showers, bathrooms, laundry rooms, a bar and grill open on the weekends, and cheap wood for sale (a wheelbarrow full for 7$!!). They have a splash pad on the weekends for the kiddos, a beach to swim, and the lake to kayak or paddleboard (oh yeah, they rent those too!!)
I was here for their AMAZING 4TH OF JULY weekend, with fireworks, live music, food and boozy pineapples, hello shots, and a shuttle if you didn't want to walk, but could not drive 😋 😉
I just absolutely love the environment. The owners are great. Nothing but wonderful things about this place. Stay here! You won't regret it! They have permanent spots, too, if you wanna park your camper for good!!

Our kids had a great time on the playground. The hot water in the showers was plentiful as well. There were undoubtedly many more things to do, such as spending time at the spotless beach. This campground has everything we could possibly need, which is great! a good location for camping.

We had a blast! Camper was clean and ready to go- fully loaded. Staff was very friendly. They checked in on us to make sure everything was good. There was lots of entertainment. Beach was awesome. They even had a Bloody Mary cart driving around campground delivering drinks! Permanent campers were friendly and inviting. Very quiet campground. We had so much fun we reserved it again for a few more weekends.
