the tent locations are great, quite a few racoons but overall it was a quiet stay.

Great place to access a lot to do. We happened to be there for the Iowa State Fair, close to the lake for boating and fishing. Campsites are spacious and clean.

I love Acorn valley! Bob does a great Job!! I did however, get treated terribly at Bob Shetler campground by female member of the husband and wife hosts.

I camp here every year when I come to Des Moines to attend meetings. The campsites are spacious and normally quiet. I really like the fact that there are lots of trees. One can really get away.

Overall the campground was nice, it was clean, nice showers/restrooms. However about 10:30 Friday evening my wife and I were asleep in our camper and woke up to find someone standing in our camper. I shouted, the person left, nothing was stolen but we will probably never go back to Acorn Valley.
