Never had camped here before but due to the closure of Prairie Flower, Cherry Glen & Howell Station camping is very limited!! Don’t know why they closed all at same time!!

The electrical box is on the opposite side of many of the sites so be sure to bring an extension cord/adapter. We had to make a run to go get something bc our normal-length power cord wouldn’t reach the box. Very unusual.

The only thing I did not like was trying to book our site online only. The site would show a bunch of open sites and then show all sites full. It was frustrating.

Great campground with power and access to bike trails or a short drive to trails. Our group did several trails, with the highlight being the High Trestle Trail. You could also bike into Des Moines and several breweries. We will be back.

I was welcomed into the campground by a very friendly camp host.
Site and shower house were clean with no trash built up.
Grass wasn't on par with a golf course, but this IS camping, for Pete's sake. So mowing was a bit hap hazard and for the first two days I wondered if we had entered a "No Mow May" twilight zone. Mowed third day. All is well.

A nice park. Was pretty quiet when I stayed. Took me a second visit to find the fill and dump spot at the end curve.
