I wish there were more things for kids to play on in Ponca. Swings are great, but that is all. There use to be things to climb on. Please consider adding something. Thanks!

Friendly rangers and volunteers. Clean bathrooms and showers. Spacious campgrounds and quiet except for birds in the morning. It’s our 3rd time camping here. We love it.

We always enjoy going to Whitebreast. It's well maintained, the bathrooms and showers are always clean. It's just a great camping location.

Our views from our site in Coal Loop #70 were excellent. The campsite was clean, spacious, and sufficiently private from our neighbors. We enjoyed the hike on the trail, a wander to the water, and an outing from the boat launch with our tandem kayak.
We would happily return on a future trip through Iowa.

General
- Whitebreast does not have a reservation window. You MUST have a reservation prior to occupying a site.
- The fee booth is open 7 days per week: Monday through Thursday: . Friday through Sunday: & . Fee Booth phone number: (641) 842-2969.
- We offer a limited supply of firewood at the campground. If you want to ensure you have firewood for your stay, please plan on bringing your own supply. Travelers entering Iowa are strongly encouraged to leave out-of-state firewood behind.
- Camping units are restricted to one wheeled unit and two tents, or three tents per site. A maximum of eight persons per campsite is allowed.
- Parking or driving on the grass is not allowed. Boat trailers may be parked on the grass.
- Golf carts, UTVs, and ATVs are not permitted.
- Kiddie pools, slip-and-slides, and similar water-based play equipment are not permitted.
- Bounce houses and similar inflatable play equipment are not permitted.
