Clark's Ferry is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities and beautiful views of the Mississippi River, making it a pleasant destination for camping and boating. The hosts are friendly and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere, while the campground offers ample shade and spacious sites. However, the proximity to railroad tracks results in frequent train noise, which may be disruptive for some visitors.

Trains run behind the campground but only during the daytime it seems because they didn't wake me with their whistles at the crossings nor the rumble on the tracks. Beautiful view of the Mississippi River with tugs pushing barges up/down the river.
My third time staying there.

Great campground along the Mississippi & great hosts. Enjoyed visiting the Rock Island Arsenal and the lock & dam system on the Mississippi River. Train was annoying because it blasts its horn near the campground at all hours. We would certainly return if in the area.

It was an ok experience. Campsite was fine, but never saw a host. Camper next to us locked dogs up all day while they were gone - I think they were working because they were gone all day. Didn’t like they lit up electrical towers - we prefer it to be dark at night when we camp.

Our hosts at the campground were very friendly and kind to us, the volunteer at the campground came by to say hello too, and gave us some tourist advice. Everything was clean. The shower houses are great! So private and well equipped. We have already recommended this campground, and we will continue to do so.
Thank you.

It was ok for the over night stay we had. Never saw the campground host. THE TRAIN TRACK IS RIGHT THERE AND THE TRAINS RUN BY ALL THE TIME!

Beautiful Mississippi River COE Campground
We loved our two-night stay at Clark’s Ferry Recreation Area. Our site was beautiful, spacious and shaded, with a wonderful view of the Mississippi River. It was incredibly peaceful, and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the river and hoping for a barge to come by—although apparently they decided to take our weekend off! 😂
The campground was clean, quiet and well maintained, with that relaxed feeling we love about Corps of Engineers parks. We also enjoyed exploring nearby Muscatine and the Mark Twain Overlook and drove over to see Lock & Dam 16.
A beautiful little stop along the Mississippi and definitely a campground we would happily return to. COE campgrounds continue to be some of our favorite places to stay! ❤️
