This is a well kept campground and all the people we met camping there also were very nice. Our only complaints were that the electrical box on our site (M16) did not work and one of our other sites (M17) was covered in dog poop. Fortunately we had rented multiple sites for our huge family so we were able to run a long extension cord over to the other site.
Love that this campground is so close to the water!

Had a very nice stay. The campground was very well kept. Only problem was the gnats they were everywhere really bad in the bathrooms and around the campers.

Really enjoyed this quiet and well planned out campground. COEs are our favorite places to camp and this was a great example why. We stayed in site M23 which was fantastic. That said, we got the 'benefit' of a midge hatching which coated the rig with midges that looked like mosquitos but with fluffy antennae. Harmless but EVERYWHERE! To avoid the risk of getting immersed in midges, find a spot a bit further away from the water but honestly, for us, it was worth it! Great campground, fun time!

we enjoyed our stay at Rathbun Lake Campground. We would like to see improvements in the shower and restroom facilities. The main shower was a mess. Lots of bugs, missing shower doors and a lack of maintenance. We used it once and were glad to be able to use our own facilities after one time. We realize the age of Rathbun but why not update before condemnation.
