The campground is beautiful with visibility of the lake everywhere. Sites are flat (nice). A very large water/dump station is nice for the big rigs. Only drawback to our stay was it rained every day but one.

Nice shady area for camping and view of the lake. Close to towns, etc. Could use a view better fish cleaning stations with better pumps.

At least two entrances are closed. you could have put signs at the main road saying these gates were locked. Instead, you get all the way to the gate with nowhere to back up to find it is locked. Horrible communication. Sites are extremely muddly almost causing vehicles to get stuck! The person across had 4 vehicles which also block campers from backing in In the old days we actually had park rangers now all we have are hosts which just check you in. Overall I have enjoyed Rec.Gov sites but Rathb un Lake was terrible.

The mowing of the campgrounds are terrible. The grass was way to tall for kids to play in. It had long clippings as well, like you could bale them. In addition the picnic tables are extremely dirty. Trees need trimmed. It is difficult to get campers in.
