We were in F1 in this lovely campground. Our 42’ fifth wheel fit perfect into the easy-access, back-in, 50 amp spot with a lake view and great shade. Large picnic table and fire ring on the gravel spot. Nice shower house near by and so is a large playground. Great lake access & parking if you bring your boat. Boating and fishing are awesome at Rathbun! Be sure to check out Louie’s Bistro at the Rathbun Marina. Great food, fun drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.

Our site was fine. View was great. Most of the rest of the sites on our loop was part of a group camp. There were 4-5 cars per site(parked in the grass/some parked partially on the road), 5-6 tents per site, and WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE. They walked through our site, hit our camper with their volleyball, and we're loud past dark. I don't think the park ranger enforced any standard rules. The group should have been in the group area....they made our camp unpleasant.

Camp grounds was great. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There are some trees that need to be trimmed on the roads and Camp sites so they don't drag on the camper.

General

  • 14 Day Policy on Rathbun Lake: Campers are only allowed to camp at the same camping loop a maximum of 14 nights within a 30 night period. After the 14th night, they will be required to move (physically move the camping unit) to a different camping loop, which can be in the same campground.
  • Swimming beach is approximately 1 mile from the campground
  • Please register/ pay for campsite prior to set up. Park Attendant will check you in on your campsite during their morning or evening rounds.
  • If late, you must contact this park within 24 hours after your original check-in time or you will be considered a 'no show' resulting in the cancelation of your reservation.

  • Purchase firewood from a local source.
  • If you must bring your own firewood, don't leave any firewood behind at your campsite.
