Great location and lake. Nice facilities. Don't know what the problem was but July 5-6 there was no one maintaining the bathrooms. No TP, and no cleaning Several complaints were registered and they were taken care of the next day. Corps parks are our first pick for camping.

Need to limit golf carts and how many boats per site.

Many sites had standing water upon our arrival even though it hadn’t rained in recent times. I had to stand in a puddle to connect to electric.
The sites were the largest I’ve seen in the region.
There were no maps available at the un-staffed checkin building and finding a site after dark was the worst experience I’ve had in 40 years of camping.
The restrooms were clean, but inadequate in number compared to the number of sites. At least half of the bathrooms didn’t have shower facilities.
The campground was quieter than I expected for being at or near capacity.
There were very few sources for refilling water tanks.
Very few sites had lake access, although many had lake views.

Been camping here for 20 years! Every summer we have a Friends and Family reunion! Love Island View! The sites we love are in M and F. Beautiful views of the lake! I wish there was a small beach at the campsites so we didn't have to drive to the main beach, tho!

This was our first time camping at Island View with a new camper. Sites were well marked and spaced out enough that we didn't feel like we were too close to other campers. Nice area--easy to pull in and out of.

We saw many infractions to rules that upset us. First of all, people parked on the grass and in such dry conditions is not good. A lot of people had too many vehicles parked at their campsite. The people across the street had a camper and a very large tent for more family plus an area tent for outside cooking. They left vehicles hanging into the narrow street plus children (at least 4 small ones) playing in the street leaving scooters and bikes, sidewalk chalk, etc. for cars to try to get around without causing injury. These same people had two small barky dogs that seemed to be unattended with no adults in sight. The same people set up a blow-up swimming pool on the grass and proceeded to carry 5 gallon buckets of water to fill until some other neighbors let them borrow hoses to string across the road. The main shower house is in desperate need of updating as it is in very POOR condition. We got in our campsite around 11 a.m. and had no one check until at least 6:30 in the evening to make sure we were in the correct spot. This person was not very cordial to us considering the fact we had done everything correctly. The reason I mentioned the barky dogs above is the fact that we were awoken the next day at 6:30 a.m.. I feel if you can't control your dogs , you are in the wrong place.
