Restrooms were very clean. Camp sites and spacious. Pella and Knoxville are near by. The river has a half bridge for eagle vs viewing.

Howell Station is praised for its spacious and well-maintained campsites, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment with ample recreational opportunities, including great bike trails and proximity to Pella. Reviewers commend the cleanliness of facilities and the helpfulness of staff. However, many note the lack of cell service as a downside, alongside a few minor maintenance concerns.

It is a beautiful campground and enjoyed the stay. Was hoping for a dog park so I could let my dog run or play ball for a little bit every day.
