Very disapointed by the noise created by dogs. At least 2 different spaces and multiple times during the day. One of the spaces the dogs(2) charged me as I rode by on my bike. Makes me want to chose different facility.

nice view of lake; would like to see the spot leveled as it slopes to the north and away from camper steps, have to use add'l platform. Our steps are at rear of 5th wheel, makes for a long climb to get in camper

One of our favorites. Clean, well kept facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to Pella for supplies and entertainment.

Large, partially shaded site bordered by a field and close to the shower house/restrooms. A swale cuts through the middle, so pitch your tent away from it if heavy rain is forecast or you could have a river flowing through your tent. We appreciated that there are no bright lights overhead, unlike some other sites. We saw three deer in the field one evening. Unfortunately, a noisy baffle on the bluebird house rattled all night with the slightest breeze, keeping me awake—I put in a request to have it adjusted. Fire ring was emptied of ash when we arrived and there were no apparent widowmakers in the overhanging branches.

We stayed here on our trip across country from WY to OH and back. We liked the site so much that we chose the same one on our return trip. Going in the “off season” (after Labor Day) is so nice because it was so quiet. The second time we stayed (in mid Oct), there was nobody else in the whole spur of sites and so we didn’t worry so much about our pack of four dogs disturbing others! Beautiful area and we look forward to staying again sometime, and hopefully having more time to explore the whole park.
Shows houses were great—I love that they are private units so you have plenty of space to shower and change.
