We camped at Wallashuck several years ago and remembered it as a good place to camp. We have a larger RV now and noticed 50 amp sites are sparse there - adding more in the future would be great. Also, the sites need to be leveled out - many of them crown and slope significantly. The 50 amp electrical hook up at our site did not seem to have full voltage all the time. The biggest drawback to our recent stay was the BUG situation!! The swarming insects were beyond annoying and made it more than challenging to enjoy the GORGEOUS weather! We were unable to enjoy a campfire in the evening since the fire ring was out in the (well-maintained) grass where the bugs swarmed the worst. Even watching a fire from the camping mat or eating at the picnic table, which are both on the gravel, was impossible regardless of the time of day. We used 3 large citronella candles, bug spray and a device designed to keep bugs away. Nothing worked! We noticed a tractor spraying a couple times during our stay, but wondered what they were spraying because it was absolutely ineffective. My wife received numerous bug bites on her face, neck, arms and ankles. It was not a pleasant experience this time out. Hopefully, it will be better later this summer when we have two more reservations at Wallashuck campground.

Beautiful, well maintained grounds, lots of space between sites. We loved our visit and will be back. If I had to offer a suggestion, it would be more bath houses. We were closer to the lake and it was quite a haul to get back to the bath house. I didn’t notice any playground area for kids, but there may have been some in other parts of the park.

The dumpstation needs to be redesigned, does not dump on one side, most will not dump from other side, needs to be a level spot.

Everything was kept clean. Only problem was maintenance in the female restroom of Pilot Grove. Exhaust fan is rattling badly. Sounds out of balance. The cover is also loose which makes even more rattling. Have fan along the floor which helps keep it cool, but does make it cold along the floor and doesn't cover enough area.
