This was an overnight stay. When booking reservation I saw full hookup under description. When we arrived we were told to fill water tank, no water hook up in campground. I have been to several Corp engineer campgrounds. This did not seem same quality as others. Pretty area.

The campground is nice, however the water pump to fill and rinse you tanks needs to be replaced. It doesn't have enough power so,it takes,a,long time to fill you tank and it doesn't rinse you black tank properly because of low water pressure. Other wise the camp ground is nice plenty of trees and clean restrooms/showers.

Although we didn’t stay long enough to make use of the lake or the surrounding activities, the campground itself was great - clean restrooms, spacious sites, a quiet atmosphere. And cheap for Seniors with a lifetime parks pass!

Sandy Beach used to be a great campground. Now, people are camping in the cars, and junk trailers. We had a group of 14 people behind us that spread tents well into our site. About 7 of them were kids. Young teenagers.. They would cut through our site to get to theirs. One girl almost hit her head on the mirror of my truck. They mad noise almost until midnight. People drive backwards on the one way drives. Homeless people come in and use the toilets and showers. No one seems to care... The park rangers are worthless. They just drive by and don't say a word... Won't be coming back again anytime soon....

Very nice campground. Very clean property and hosts were great. Beautiful lake. Although, fyi, coming in from the east you have a about 3 miles of gravel rd to the entrance. Highly recommend.

Sandy Beach is no longer the great campground it used to be. It has been taken over by homeless people who live in their trailers, or live in their cars, and traveling workers who don't want to pay for motels. People drive into the campground to use the restrooms and showers but don't camp there. No one enforces the rules, so people park their boats where guests are supposed to park. People drive the wrong way on the one way loops. We even had huge groups of 10 - 12. where as many as 4 tents were erected encroaching on OUR campsite! Then, kids walking right next to our car and camper. Then, staying up until midnight making noise. The camp host and the Park Rangers do nothing to stop them. I don't think we'll be camping here anymore.
