Sandy Beach Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place to stay. Many visitors appreciate the spacious, well-maintained campsites and the nice views of the lake. However, some concerns were raised about noise from nearby campers and issues with water access, impacting the overall experience.

This was a nice little campground that we stayed at for one night. They weren't very full so prior to our arrival they switched our campsite to one that was more appropriate for our camper. It was clean, quiet and close to a nice lake. Would definitely recommend (especially for the price!!! I think it was $22)!
If you have time, you can visit the future birthplace of James T. Kirk in Riverside : )

We arrived early evening and had no trouble finding our camping spot. A staff member came around later in the evening to let us know that there was a potential for bad weather and where to go if we needed to seek safety (we had a pop up camper).
It was a quiet and clean campground.
The hosts were friendly.

We stayed in site 34. Camp host also recommended site 9, but we didn't want to unhook the camper. Site 34 was perfectly level and we had plenty of room. I don't think a full sized pickup could even fit in site 9. Nice campground, clean restrooms, some sites are pretty close together but the campground wasn't busy on a Monday night. I would definitely stay there again.
