Cherryvale Park offers a mostly positive camping experience with clean and well-maintained sites that provide a peaceful atmosphere and good amenities, such as power and water. Many campers appreciate the spaciousness and cleanliness of the facilities, including the bathrooms, although some have noted the need for updates and better maintenance. Lousy 2.5 mi gravel road is only way into the park. Otherwise, your typical great Corps Project.

The campground was nice, our site was clean. When researching our reservation it was noted on your website that the restrooms would be open during reservations season. Since we were able to make a reservation, we inferred that the restrooms would be open. They were not. This caused significant issues with us camping, because we have to drive a half a mile each way to the nearest vault toilet. Was not a fun experience. I attempted to call the park office multiple times before a reservation to confirm that the restrooms were open. No one ever answered, and there was no option to leave a voicemail.

We camp at Big Hill as often as we can. Both sides are very nice but the Cherryvale side is always beautiful with the overlooks and well-spaced camp slots.

Always a great time here. Great place for kids and outdoor activities. Really early in season but the bathrooms need some TLC.

Very nice spacious quiet place! Loved taking walks and looking at the lake. It’s kept clean and it seems all campers are respectful. It’s now one of our favorite places to visit.
