This park has the potential to be really nice but is currently just OK and definitely NOT one of our favorite spots. We stayed here for seven weeks while my husband worked in the area.
There are 20 pull-thru sites. All have concrete pads. The 10 back-ins have gravel/dirt pads. The rest of the sites are buddy sites and approximately half have concrete pads. There is a nice amount of space between each site, which is the best feature of the park, in our opinion.
There is no office on-site and no posted speed limit. People tend to speed down the roads, kicking up dirt. The wifi is not dependable.
Some of the sites are missing sewer covers. In addition, our sewer pipe did not have interior grooves, so we were unable to twist our sewer connection into place. You may need a weighted object to keep your sewer hose from popping up.
The water connection at our site sat in a deep, uncovered recess and was completely flooded when we arrived. No one should have to stick his or her hand into standing water to hook up their water connection.
Although the owners/management mow weekly, they do not do a good job keeping weeds under control. As a result, tall weeds tend to grow around the utility connections and the dumpsters. When we arrived at our site, weeds hid a large rabbit hole and a deep groove that my husband and I both tripped over. I'm thankful we didn't twist an ankle or worse.
Unfortunately, there are very limited options in the Garden City area. We would consider staying here again if necessary, but our first choice would be to stay at one of the better maintained parks in Dodge City.
