First time camping at Marion Reservoir. Booked campsite #5 because of shade and proximity to a shower house. Upon arrival and after setting up the campsite, became aware that the shower house was closed. Inquired of the volunteer host who indicated that the shower house had been closed for the entire season. Forced to change campsites. Recreation.gov has no alerts for Marion Reservoir. This shower house situation should have been posted as an alert.
Despite the above, Marion Reservoir is well maintained. The alternative campsite and shower house were both very nice.

Enjoyed out camping site. Lake level is up and water is easy to access. Bathrooms were open and general condition were OK. Only bathroom with a working shower was in the newer section. Two closer bathrooms with showers weren’t operational. One had water knobs removed and bathroom in main central area of park was closed, blocked from use. Lawn was mowed and campsites were fairly clean. Trash deposited in fire rings was not removed- old diaper.

Need to get the bathrooms fixed. We’ve been 3 times this year and they still aren’t fixed!

Nice place. Hard to use boat dock due to low water and people leaving boats tied up all day and going to their campsite . Would be nice if loading and unloading at the dock was enforced.

We always have a great time there. The full hookups are always a blessing and well placed. However that is not always the case with the fixed shelters over the picnic tables. Many of them were not designed well and are WAY too close to the parking pad for the RVs so that it limits use of awnings and any room between the camper and the table. Not a deal killer by any means, but sometimes we sure wish it had been thought out better. ALSO, there are a few spots that the angle to get backed into the spot added to the narrowness of the entry truly make it nearly impossible to get into the spot if you do not have awesome neighbors across the road that are willing to work with you on moving vehicles so that you can use that space in maneuvering. Certainly recommend looking at a Google map satellite view before booking if you have not been there 1st.

We loved this campground! Great area for bicycles! Beautiful area! We loved our spot although we had to back out of our spot even though it was a drive through as there was low hanging branches that were too low for our fifth wheel, but it wasn't too hard to back out.

When we got there the grass needed mowed, we were there for 2 weeks. The day we was leaving they finally came around to Mow. The upkeep at the park has gone down hill.
We ready enjoy this lake.

Very kind rangers (when I accidentally camped at the wrong site!)
