Nice clean and mowed grass. The site we had was close to the water.

Overhang was breaking down due to rotted wood frame. We had to go get mower from home due to sites not being well kept. Bathrooms were still locked on boat dock side. The one bathroom open had no working light.

Great location! The only thing wrong with it was the grass could have been mowed.

Need more presence by the park ranger.
Too many “rules” I’m seeing not followed by other campers and fear noncompliance will simply encourage more noncompliance - examples:
1) cars/trucks parked on grass - all four wheels - some sights even had like 6 or more vehicles
2) dogs running loose
3) one site had two campers on same site
4) one site in the electric only had a water hose hooked up to the “community” spigot- not even a “y” so others could at least get water.
5) some sites in the “new” section - culverts are narrow and difficult to back into. I have site 162 reserved for Labor Day and it appears to be the worst. We have had friends camp there before and refuse to use that site due to this issue.
6) mowing needs to be done before a big weekend, especially. Tall grass makes it difficult to play yard games.
7) would sure like to see the shore line in the “new” area. I have seen some areas cleared but need to see more.
8) too much poison ivy
9) campsite sign/numbers missing as well as other signage in poor shape
10) FIX the bathroom by the group shelter 1!
With the above we still love Marion Reservoir but fear these things will ruin our beautiful park!

Site was wonderful as always, however, some trimming needs to be done close to the bank. Not able to fish due to high grass/weeds everywhere. Honestly, we really couldn't see the lake

We’ve camped here for over 20 years and we’ve seen a serious decline in how the area has been taken care of.
1. Campsites with no sewer hook-ups has no open bathrooms available yet sites with sewer hook-ups have bathrooms open. It has been this way for atleast 3 years.
2. We now have to bring our own mower since the camp sites are only mowed every 3-4 weeks.
3. Because the open areas are no longer mowed, the overall look is horrible. Especially around the group shelters. We no longer rent them because there’s no place for our group to enjoy outdoor activities.
4. Why have camp host been removed? They were a key reason the park looked so nice and now it looks and feels like we’re trying to camp in a farmer’s field.
Overall, we’re extremely disappointed in how the park has declined. We rarely see rangers unless they’re trying to repair minor issues. Is this because the park management is doing a poor job or has no interest in retaining the long history of this park and how nice it used to be.

Someone was in our spot that we reserved. They said they had it booked as well. Tried calling office 3 times, left voicemail 3 times and have emailed them twice… no response on any of them and it’s been over a week now.
