Cottonwood Point is praised for its beautiful, clean campsites and scenic views by the lake, making it a great spot for water sports and relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, well-maintained facilities, and friendly atmosphere, with some returning frequently for the calming experience. However, concerns about infrequent mowing, maintenance issues, and limited restroom access have been noted, suggesting areas for improvement.

We had a great time at cottonwood point. So nice too be outside and just talking and relaxing around the campfire. Took my bike and rode around the other side.

The trees are beginning to put on their autumn show. The towns between the reservoir (Hillsboro and Marion) have unique shops and always have something new. The best part of Cottonwood Point experience is the friendliness of the towns people and the camp hosts. Always friendly and helpful.

Our site was very unlevel. Other than that, all water and electric were good, sites were clean, plenty of space. Person at entrance was friendly.
