What Guests Are Saying
Cottonwood Point is praised for its beautiful, clean campsites and scenic views by the lake, making it a great spot for water sports and relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, well-maintained facilities, and friendly atmosphere, with some returning frequently for the calming experience. However, concerns about infrequent mowing, maintenance issues, and limited restroom access have been noted, suggesting areas for improvement.

The campground has really gone down hill. NO bathrooms/showers were open. Some have not been fixed from freezing last winter because they were not winterized properly. MANY areas were un-mowed. Lots of dead brush and trees. No camp hosts. Fairly new gate shack that is now sitting unused. Several campsites still are not open from flooding several years ago. The walking trail is unrecognizable - the sign is gone. TERRIBLE management.

We camped at site 095 for 2 weeks and had a glorious time. My wife and I were amazed on how well the volunteer staff kept the place up. We loved the privacy of our spot and plan on coming back whenever possible.

We were a week and a half early for them to turn on the water/ unlock the bathrooms.. wouldn’t have picked the site if we knew that. We have needed a bathroom accommodation.

Site 80 was a great site with nice shade and views. Major water leak had shut down the water hookups in this entire loop but we were able to fill our fresh tank easily in a different loop. Verizon great, good 50amp power.

We really enjoyed being at Cottonwood Point! We had site 34. The only thing that we didn’t like about it so much was how sloping it was. Other than that, it was a great location!
