Arrived on Wednesday afternoon, rained vary hard that evening. Thursday morning by 9.00 Am we were told we either had to move to a different site or go home. We did cared for the site so went home. Turnes out the water didnt come up much, so just because the water came up around the picnic table, that was probably about a foot above conservation level we were told to leave very prematurely. Planned this trip for six months i'm self employed so its not easy to get away. Site 44 should be closed, or picnic table move to higher ground so it doesnt ruin peoples vacation. Very clean, we don’t use the restrooms/shower but have checked them out and they are very clean. Fun place to kayak, fish, boat and relax.

We had a great time.
It was a little difficult to back into the spot due to the culvert and signs, but we managed.
We did have an issue with the 50 amp and had to use 30 amp, but we did not need the ACs for that weekend as it was cool.
Overall, we had a great time.

Cottonwood Point is a pretty location. Camp sites are well spaced and nice views. Lots of birds and wildlife. Due to the heavy rain during the weekend we could suggest improving site 39. Please consider putting more gravel in the parking spot. Also, consider putting a diversion berm to deflect runoff from the paved road and divert runoff around to the west end of the site. The picnic shelter was not usable due to runoff and mud flooding across the concrete pad.
