Three visits (10 days total) at three different campsites at Cottonwood
Point this past year. Had a great experience. Campground hosts were very helpful. Campsites were clean and we'll kept. Would recommend this location for a quiet getaway and a wonderful outdoor camping destination.

My wife and I have stayed at Cottonwood Point several times. We love it! Very clean and level. All utilities were like new and were in perfect working order. Best campground we've been too. Hosts were very friendly and eager to help. Plan on several more stays in the years ahead!!

I reserved this site on August 2nd. I tried to get the site for 2 weeks starting on the 7th of October and end on the 21st of October. At that time I was unable to make a reservation beyond the 15th of October. The site was listed as FF, first come first serve. I found out on the 14th of October that somebody was allowed to reserve the site for the night of the 15th and according to the park ranger was not listed as FF for that night. As far as I am concerned, the people running this web site need to be fired and replace with competent personnel that know how to run a web site.

Cottonwood is a great place to camp. I did not give 5 stars because there is a first come first serve policy, for many sites there, and it is a really bad policy. I drove up 3 times from Wichita and could not get the sites I wanted. The best way to fairly get the sites you want is make reservations. Some sites offer reservations, just not all.
