Cottonwood Point is praised for its beautiful, clean campsites and scenic views by the lake, making it a great spot for water sports and relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, well-maintained facilities, and friendly atmosphere, with some returning frequently for the calming experience. However, concerns about infrequent mowing, maintenance issues, and limited restroom access have been noted, suggesting areas for improvement.

Cotton wood point is a very nice campground, well maintained, and well laid out. Power posts were new, and the staff was very friendly. Only drawback was that the shower water was cold. Very cold. And they said there was nothing they could do about it. (Coldest showers of any Corps or state campground I've been to.)

Weather cool and somewhat windy. Help available at check-in gate to visit local activities, fishing spots, etc. Due to Covid-19 restrictions access to Corps office restricted. Needed updated map of Cottonwood Point Area.
