What Guests Are Saying
Hillsboro Cove is a well-maintained campground with spacious, clean sites, many of which offer beautiful waterfront views. Visitors appreciate the proximity to the beach area and the availability of amenities like clean restrooms and picnic tables. However, there are some concerns regarding maintenance, including issues with power, hot water in showers, and the condition of the entry road, which detracts from the overall experience for some guests.

Great location and not many campers. Only negatives was the lake is down 6 feet and the blue green algae started at the end of our trip.

As we was packing up I noticed our electrical pole and cord smoking. We use a power surge protector and it fried it. So there went 300.00. We noticed several other campsites that had cones on them. Another camper had trouble with hers as well. Not real happy at this point.

Was not anything like picture. No area for children. Swimming area was closed. Very disappointed

Love this area. Always very clean, especially the rest rooms. (Except for the bugs)
This time, however, my site was full of ants.
Not much fun but not much anyone can do about that.

We always look for a shady spot when it's hot, and we have a favorite one. Not all the spots have water, but we can fill up our fresh water tank close by. We enjoy the peace and quiet, watching and listening to the birds, and just relaxing. Hillsboro Cove is our favorite spot, but we like Cottonwood Point also. Harder to find a shady site since so many of the trees are dying due to the drought.

It is one of the few spots with water access making it a prime location for people who want to fish during the week. The result is a lot of trash being left around the area. We had a lot of clean up to do.

We go to Marion often and always try to find the “perfect” spot. This was close to that spot. Nice shade. Beautiful view of the water and easy access for fishing or kayaking. It was very quiet when we were there mid-week. Nice grass for the dogs. Short walk to the bathhouse. Reservation site didn’t say that there is water hookup but there is. And electricity. We will pick this spot again!

Nicely mowed and facilities clean and stocked. RV slots were wide and level. I will certainly return, so much better than larger lakes in the area

We enjoy the peacefulness of the surroundings. Our only complaint is the condition of the road leading to the campground. It is very much in need of some attention and repair. It's almost an "enter at your own risk". Too bad it's not taken better care of...
