What Guests Are Saying
Hillsboro Cove is a well-maintained campground with spacious, clean sites, many of which offer beautiful waterfront views. Visitors appreciate the proximity to the beach area and the availability of amenities like clean restrooms and picnic tables. However, there are some concerns regarding maintenance, including issues with power, hot water in showers, and the condition of the entry road, which detracts from the overall experience for some guests.

My sons and I really enjoyed our time here. Within walking/ swimming distance to the beach area. Not far from the shower house. Having the shoreline right by our spot was nice on a hot summer day to cool off. I would rated this 5 stars but I picked our spot based on the photos/map available to have a shady spot with grass, but we were one of the few spots right in the sun for most of the day and evening and not much grass near the power hook-up. It was a 100+ day when we were there and tent camping and our power was not connected during our stay. I brought a portable power pack and hoped it would last through the night for our fans to keep cool, but did not. I did however find some better spots for the next time that we stay here.

Clean with the exception of a few beer cans. A little highway noise but crickets and locusts muffled that sound. Firewood close by for purchase but we ended up having some at our campsite. There were algae bloom warnings which I found online and not posted anywhere.

We loved it. Was really cheap, and probably our favorite reservation of our 2 week roadtrip.

We've been visiting the Cove for several years and it's our favorite place for a quiet get away. Several areas are not as well kept as they had been in the past. I'm guessing that it's due to funding cuts. Overall, it's still beautiful and peaceful, and the many waterfront sites are well maintained. We also appreciate the spaciousness of each site. We will definitely be back!

This was a nice campground that we stayed at for one night while traveling. The campsites had covered tables and very nice grills along with potable water. The restrooms/showers were well maintained.

Went during the week. Was clean and quiet. Our location backed up to the water. Fire wood furnished. We'll be returning.

Really nice sites with many backing up to the water. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the entry road needs some maintenance.
